Submit a Proposal to the Center for Compassionate Innovation
The Center for Compassionate Innovation (CCI) is interested in novel solutions that improve Veterans' health. Proposal submissions should focus on an innovative therapy or treatment that enhances Veterans’ physical and mental well-being. CCI is especially interested in therapies that are targeted at Suicide Prevention, Chronic Pain, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), or Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD); however, the Center will review any proposal submitted for consideration.
Submitting a proposal to CCI is not a substitute when other avenues of submission within VA are more appropriate, such as a vendor application to the Office of Acquisition and Logistics (OAL). CCI does not lead or establish scientific research studies, please contact your local VA Office of Research and Development (ORD) to inquire about research opportunities. CCI does not award contracts, provide research grants, or offer other forms of financial support.
All proposals will be fairly and objectively reviewed utilizing extensive evaluation criteria to determine efficacy, feasibility, and originality. CCI will send proposal submitters an acknowledgment within 30 days of receipt. The submitters will receive periodic status updates thereafter. Proposals go through a comprehensive review process and may take several months to review.
